Self-Awareness
Hypersexual Behaviour Self-Reflection
This is a private reflection on how sexual thoughts and behaviour may be affecting three areas of your life: how much control you feel you have, how often it becomes the way you cope, and what it is costing you.
It is not a diagnosis, and it is not a ruling on your situation. It is a way of putting honest language to something that is often carried alone.
Answer based on your experiences over the past 6 months.

Questions About This Tool
- What does this self-assessment actually measure?
- It looks at three things: how controllable your sexual thoughts and behaviour feel, how often sexual behaviour is being used to cope with difficult emotions, and what consequences it is having in your worship, relationships, work and wellbeing.
- Is a high score a diagnosis?
- No. This is an original Baṣirah Care reflection tool, not a clinical instrument. It cannot diagnose anything. Only a qualified mental-health professional can assess and diagnose.
- Is this private?
- Yes. Every answer is scored in your browser. Nothing is saved, sent, logged or shared, and no account or email is required to see your result.
- Is this a religious judgement on me?
- No. This tool describes patterns, not verdicts. It does not rule on what is sinful, and it is not a substitute for asking a scholar about your particular circumstances.
- My score is high. What should I do next?
- Take it as information rather than a sentence. Individual counselling at Baṣirah Care integrates evidence-based approaches such as CBT with an orthodox Islamic ethos, and this is a common thing to bring — you will not be the first, and it will be treated with confidentiality and without shaming.
